Which do you think should take priority: the protection of society from former (although possibly reformed) offenders or the protection of individual rights from energetic and possibly unforgiving police officers?
You are a police administrator, and you are to construct a policy for the patrol officers about accepting gratuities. Specifically, address the reasoning why you would or would not allow officers to accept a free cup of coffee.
You are responsible for the training of new officers in your department. Would you implement a FTO program? If so, how would you administer the program? If not, how would you go about providing appropriate training?

Appropriate introduction to the paper or topics being covered. Logical conclusion that
results from the thesis.
Research/Format/Analysis of topic: 15 points
Orderly presentation of materials, thoughtful discussion, following general format
requirements (Margins, header, footer, font size, general amount of work).
Proper citations and references to resources, following APA or Blue Book format. Use of
headings, italics, and other aids (e.g., appendices, tables of contents,
when appropriate), to improve the flow of the paper.
Content: 45 points
Purpose of the paper is clear.
All questions/requirements of the assignment are answered in a substantive manner. Major
topics/theories are stated clearly and are supported by details and analysis. Content is
comprehensive, accurate, and/or persuasive integration of theory and practice. Research is
adequate and up-to-date.
