In this assignment you are given a scenario involving a specific population. You will assess the scenario from a population health perspective and identify non-medical factors that may be having a direct impact on this population’s health. Scenario: In your community there is a sizable population of refuges from Syria. Beginning 9 months ago there has been a significant increase in the number of refugees who have been admitted through the emergency department due to untreated diabetes. Since that time there have been a significant number of readmissions due to patients not taking or not having access to their medications.
