The chair wants you to prepare a press release for the media to inform the local community about the topic you have chosen to investigate, highlighting the importance of qualitative research in the context of your topic. Develop a 350-word press release that describes the importance of your chosen qualitative research article to your chosen health care topic. The press release should include a short summary of the qualitative research study, written in a clear, concise, and engaging manner that will be understood by nonexpert or nonscientific readers.
Ensure that your facts are accurate. Include the following in your press release: A brief summation of the research study Answers to the following questions: Who are the authors?
What is the main finding of the study? When was publication date of the article and journal in which it was published? Where was the study completed (e.g., university, scientific lab, etc.)? Why is the study relevant to the reader? (i.e., Why are the results exciting or unexpected relative to your evidence-based practice project?) Read the following articles from the University Library for information on writing a press release and samples: “The Best Medicine: Writing Accurate News Releases for Medical Research” “Male Patients Are Missing Out” “MSU to Lead Study Examining COVID-19’s Effect on U.S. Nursing Workforce” Add the qualitative research article to the annotated bibliography. The article should be relevant, credible, and appropriate for the topic.
The annotation should provide a summary of the main arguments, topics, and conclusions; and provided an evaluation of the strengths, weaknesses, reliability, and relevance to the research topic.
