Gestational Diabetes Mellitus TPN and Challenges in Diagnosing Adrenal Insufficiency During Pregnancy and Postpartum.

1. To review the gaps in gestational diabetes targets in pregnancy, particularly how the focus is on post prandial glucose, therefore TPN is difficult to account for
2. To review the goals of cortisol levels to diagnose adrenal insufficiency in pregnancy
3. To also review the pathophysiology that may complicate the diagnosis of AI when someone is post partum (basically, do we know how long it takes to go from “pregnant” thresholds to “non pregnant”? You may want to look at the physiology of this, in particular cortisol binding globulin)
