Differential Assessment and Intervention

Introduction: In two to three paragraphs, briefly describe your agency, your function in the agency, who the client is (demographic data), and how the client came to your agency.

2. What brought you to the therapeutic encounter/Agency Context: In two to three paragraphs, briefly describe the context of your work and how the client came to work with you (mandated, self-referred, etc.).

3. Describe how you integrated one of the practice theories discussed in class in your work with the client(s). Describe in detail and discuss salient moments in the treatment that illuminated the following:
What intervention is working or worked?

What intervention is not working or did not work?
How did you know an intervention was working or not working?

Discuss how robust your use in the clinical work of the practice theory was in the treatment with your client
Were you able to reflect with the client the practice theory? What is their feedback? This can be both spoken or unspoken (to discuss in class)

4. Discuss transference and counter transference aspects of your work with this client. It is expected that you will be able to discuss these concepts thoughtfully and with a high level of self-awareness.

5. How do you plan to continue your work with your client? How will your practice theory help the client reach their stated goals?

References: 8+ The professional literature, required readings for the course including literature on your practice theory that you have read on your own should be cited and infused throughout this mid-term assignment.
