You want to be prepared when you meet with Blake and the new client, so you need to refresh your memory on adverse possession.

In preparation for the meeting, you decide to utilize Westlaw to locate your state’s ( Illinois) adverse possession statute. After finding the statute, you decide to prepare a summary of your state’s statute, outlining the critical provisions of the law. You also decide to locate a case that pertains to your state’s adverse possession statute. After locating an applicable case, you decide to prepare a case brief that includes the following headings:

1. Facts
2. Procedural History
3. Issue
4. Rule of Law
5. Application/Analysis
6. Conclusion
