Applying Theories of Criminal Behavior
This week you read about the different theories of criminal behavior: sociological, biological, and psychological. As with most areas of psychology, our behaviors are not products of one influence but rather a combination of influences. This is often referred to as the biopsychosocial model. The same is true of criminal behavior – we need to look beyond just one of these theories to see how criminal behavior is influenced by a combination of these different factors.

Conduct an internet search to locate a criminal case that has taken place within the last 10 years. Make sure to choose a case where there is enough background information on the offender for you to identify the possible sociological, biological, and psychological factors that influenced their criminal behavior.
In a 400 word (minimum) paper make sure to cover the following:
— Overview of the crime
— Overview of the offender

— Sociocultural factors that influenced the criminal behavior
— Biological factors that influenced the criminal behavior
— Psychological factors that influenced the criminal behavior
— Any other critical issues you feel influenced the criminal behavior
This paper should be 400 word minimum, double-spaced and written in proper APA format. You must also include a cover page and a reference page in APA format. Additionally, use a minimum of 2 sources to support your points (3 if you include the textbook).
